The Hellacopters hajoaa! Bändin kotisivuilla on julkaistu tiedote, jossa kerrotaan bändin laittavan lopullisesti hanskat naulaan.

- Lähes 13 vuoden taipaleen jälkeen The Hellacopters joutuu ilmoittamaan
laittavansa soittimet naulaan. Syitä päätökselle on monia ja turhan henkilökohtaisia läpikäytäviksi. Rokkibändissä soittaminen ei aina ole huviretkeä, mutta kiitos kaikille faneille jotka olette rokanneet kanssamme hikisillä klubeilla ja sateisilla festareilla sekä kotona stereoiden ääressä. Tämä on ollut fantastinen matka. Emme koskaa unohda teidän tukeanne.

Saimme juuri miksattua meidän seitsemännen ja viimeiseksi jäävän albumimme. Albumi julkaistaan alkuvuodesta 2008. Haluamme jättää kaikille faneille hyvästit jäähyväiskiertueen merkeissä. Tarkoituksena on kiertää Eurooppaa ja Pohjoismaita jossain vaiheessa ensi keväänä joten ette pääse meistä vielä vähään aikaan, toteaa Nicke Andersson The Hellacoptersin kotisivuilla http://www.hellacopters.com/site/default.asp

The End (2007-10-13)
After nearly thirteen years as The Hellacopters we're now sad to tell you that we are breaking up. The reasons behind this very difficult decision are many and too personal to go into here.

Playing in a rock and roll band isn't always a walk in the park, but thanks to all of you who rocked out with us at sweaty clubs, rainy festivals or at home by the stereo throughout the years, it's been a fantastic trip. We'll never forget your support.

We recently finished mixing our seventh and last studio album and it'll be released early next year according to initial plans. We feel like we wanna say one last Goodbye to you and throw in the towel with a bang, so we're aiming to do a farewell tour through Europe and Scandinavia sometime in the spring. So you're not getting rid of us just yet.

Tuli joskus diggailtua jonkin verran, mutta totaalinen kyllästys tuli jossain vaiheessa. Mieluisin muisto bändistä, kun soittivat Areenalla Kissin suohon. Toisaalta festarikeikat eivät aina olleet mitään kovin kovia. Eli en jää isommin kaipaamaan...

Kyllä mielellään bändille hyvästit jättäisin ihan live tilanteessakin vielä kerran.High Visibility levy oli ilmestysmisvuotenaan sen vuoden parasta tavaraa.

The Hellacopters invites all their fans and friends world wide to see their

Earlier this year, The Hellacopters announced that they are putting an end
to it. For good.
13 years of being the Rockn'Roll ministers of Sweden, the
Popes of Powerpop, the Caesars of Scandinavian Rockugallia is right now
ending with a final tour of sold out concerts all over the Nordics, and 2
days of pure rock at the 4 sold out gigs at Debaser Medis in Stockholm.


And just as intensely as they have always done full throttle and stepped on
the gas every single second they have been on stage - just as intensely they
want to go out. And they want all their friends to join.
